Internship Program

Purpose of the Internship Program:
To develop individuals into possible future employees at Meyer Najem Construction, assisting in the growth of the company while giving back to the community of construction.

Goals of the Program:

Assistant Estimator (responsibilities and goals)

  • Reading Plans
  • Use the specifications
  • Learn how a scope of work for a subcontractor is decided
  • Put together bids
    • Where do the numbers come from
    • How to put a bid together
  • Develop communication skills

Assistant Superintendent (responsibilities and goals)

  • Learn both the importance and how to update drawings with RFI's, clarifications and changes
  • Track job progress
  • Material procurement
  • Learn job safety
  • Utilize and develop surveying skills
