Moon Drops Distillery, Buildout

Moon Drops Distillery makes bourbon, vodka, rum, and moonshine in Fortville, all of it grain to glass. When the family behind it wanted to open a tasting room, the space was already there. It was just full of working distillery.

Our Commercial Light division partnered with Curran Architecture to carve 3,200 SF of tasting room and bar out of a 9,000 SF production facility that keeps running around it. Stone accents, moody lighting, concrete floors, and speakeasy-style barrel chairs give the room the same character the spirits have, built to a level of detail that took real care to get right.

The distillery never stopped producing. We worked alongside the Moon Drops team, planning the sequence around barrels, copper stills, and fermenting tanks that could not move.
