Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development, Inc., HAND Communities

Four communities, four towns, one idea: that people earning modest incomes deserve to live in the places where they work. Across a decade with HAND, Inc., we have built new and restored old to serve families and individuals across Hamilton County and the communities around it.

– Roper Capstone brought a vacant 1890s building in Noblesville back to life as six apartments, work that took floor re-leveling, structural reinforcement, and a new basement slab after 15 years of the building sitting empty.
– Spicewood III in Sheridan went up new, eight units across four buildings, one of them ADA accessible and one built as a sensory unit.
– Tipton Southwood Villas added five, two-bedroom units at 1,000 SF each with scope covering foundations through landscaping.
– Cumberland Cottages in Fishers arranged eight duplex units and three cottages around a shared courtyard, with zero-threshold doorways, Energy Star appliances, rain barrels, and raised beds for a community garden.

Affordable housing gets built where it is needed, by organizations working hard on tight budgets to make each unit count. HAND has been doing that work for years, and we have been glad to build alongside them.
