City of Beech Grove, Police Headquarters and Training Facility

The Beech Grove Police Department outgrew a station built in 1973 as its force grew more than fourfold. The new two-story, 16,000 SF headquarters gives the department room for patrol, investigations, and fitness and training space, and it houses the city court alongside meeting rooms open to community groups.

A separate 4,400 SF training facility centers on a 25-yard indoor shooting range featuring Level 8 bullet-resistant doors and windows. Its lighting system recreates low-light conditions and flashing emergency vehicle lights, so officers train in scenarios that mirror real calls. Officers from outside agencies train there as well. The result is a station sized for the city’s current force and a downtown anchor Beech Grove can point to.
