Kokomo Municipal Stadium
Kokomo Municipal Stadium is the first baseball stadium the city has built since 1955, when Highland Park Stadium opened for a Brooklyn Dodgers farm club. It seats 4,500, with 2,350 fixed seats, 1,500 on the lawn, and enclosed suites with their own outdoor seating.
An open concourse runs the building, so fans can watch the game while getting food or finding their section. Two concession stands, hospitality areas under covered canopies, a press box, player and coach facilities, a standalone locker room, and a community park round out the site.
The synthetic turf does more than hold up to a season of baseball. In winter the field converts to an ice rink, which turns a summer facility into one the city uses all year. Alongside IU Kokomo Baseball and IU Kokomo Women’s Soccer and local high school teams, the stadium hosts soccer, concerts, and community events.
