Meyer Najem is celebrating its 35th year in operation this week. The company was founded on June 16, 1987. Anthony Najem and Karl Meyer started Meyer Najem Construction with the intention of growing a best in class construction company.
Anthony and Karl met at Purdue University as fraternity brothers at Alpha Tau Omega. Together, they decided their strengths played well with each other and set out to perform great work – one job and one client at a time.
“Our success over the years as a company was only possible with the support of great partners,” said Najem. “We take pride in our ability to assemble the best teams for our clients using highly skilled and highly qualified individuals. We are motivated by creating places and spaces that make a direct impact on the community. Time and time again, our teams are commended for their abilities to advocate on the owner’s behalf. This ensures our clients receive the best possible product.”
Over the years, Meyer Najem has impacted countless communities across the country with the philosophy of investing in people, technology, and focusing on doing the ‘right thing.’
From municipal work to complex healthcare projects, and everything in between, Meyer Najem has completed over a billion square feet of work while building top quality projects and gaining a tremendous amount of respect in the industry.
Meyer Najem has been responsible for several high-profile projects including the Nickel Plate Trail, Humane Society for Hamilton County, Crew Carwash’s corporate headquarters, and multiple Veterans Affairs outpatient clinics. Currently, Meyer Najem is working on portions of the new IU Health downtown medical campus expansion, among many other projects.
