COMMUNITY AND PHILANTHROPY

At Meyer Najem we believe that a community is more than a collection of buildings. It’s an orchestra of intentional places, people and energy and that, while a great foundation is necessary, strong relationships and responsible leadership are what allow a community to thrive.

“The people at Meyer Najem have a passion not only for the work that we do, but for the people and organizations in the communities where we work, and that commitment makes a difference.”

Building Strength in Communities.

Philanthropy is one of our strategic initiatives to ensure we always give back to the communities we serve. During the company’s 32-year history, Meyer Najem has supported more than 1,000 nonprofits and has given more than $1 million to local, regional and national organizations—ranging from the American Heart Association and YMCA to the Humane Society and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Meyer Najem also frequently gives to several hospital foundations through relationships developed through healthcare construction work.

Last year marked the twelfth year of the company’s annual Swing into Giving golf outing where local charities receive all proceeds from the event. The event was sold out and more than $50,000 was donated to the St. Vincent Foundation Healing Arts program and Back on My Feet.

Additionally, last summer associates helped build 30 barricades for the Lawrence Police Explorers and donated items for TRU Harbor’s TRUtique.

Meyer Najem associates also annually collect winter outerwear for the Dayspring Center, donate toys to the Westminster Neighborhood Services, and hold a Thanksgiving food drive for the Delaware Township Food Pantry. The company experienced 100 percent employee participation in last year’s food drive, which resulted in more than 40,000 servings of food.
