Because our workforce is our most valuable tool, the safety, health, and happiness of our employees is a top priority. We are fortunate to have a talented and committed Safety and Human Resources team that ensures our employees have the right work culture and the necessary tools and resources to achieve excellence.
The team is led by Vice President of Safety and Compliance, Traci Hardin, who has been in the construction industry for nearly four decades. Traci began in secretarial positions, first with a union contractor in Texas and later with the Southwest Division office of AMC Theaters, where she often visited jobsites with the construction manager.
Traci’s role grew when she joined Meyer Najem in 1992. Initially, she helped with bids and contracts, then by 1994, she got more involved with safety and in 1996, she implemented the company’s first substance abuse program. Her career path continued on an uphill trajectory as she supplemented her on-the-job training with additional education. Today, safety, human resources and quality control are all under her umbrella and, thanks to her efforts, Meyer Najem has received several safety awards, including the Coalition for Construction (CCS) Safety Zero Injury Award, the CCS Golden Eagle award, and the Commissioner’s Award in Excellence for Workplace Safety and Health.
“At the end of the day, the care and well-being of our workers brings the greatest reward,“ Traci says. “We are a team and we do a great deal to work together to achieve project success. Meyer Najem is a family and everyone is included in helping make every project a success.”
Additionally, Human Resources has instituted industry-leading employee benefits that help us to attract and retain top talent. Some examples include an extensive Wellness Program that includes fitness membership reimbursements and monthly lunch-and-learns, a Diversity Inclusion Program, education reimbursement, and fun company activities such as Friday breakfasts and monthly summer cookouts.
Meyer Najem’s Safety and Human Resources team takes care of our people so that our people can take care of our clients. This leads to a culture of employees wanting to perform at a high level not only for themselves, but also for each other and for the clients. Let the experience of our Safety and Human Resources Department work for you.
Meet Meyer Najem.
